The Art of Miniatures
by Robert Olszewski
Robert
Olszewski is a 1963 graduate of Har-Brack High School and now lives in
California. When growing up on Burtner Road, it was his dream to become an
artist. He says he was inspired by great art teachers Mike Kensek and Robert
Hild and encouraged by good art friends such as Joe Ryznar, Richard Maxwell,
Steve Chelko and Gene Mrozinski.
The Olszewski Collection that
is on display at the Museum was gifted by Ray Olszewski, Robert's brother. Ray, a 1957 graduate of Har-Brack, acted on the idea of Nancy (Vicki)
Burns, Har-Brack 1958, to bring Robert's wonderful art to the area.
The collection represents a
selection of Robert's works created as an art student 1963 to 1968, art teacher
and painter 1968 to 1977, and as a sculptor and designer since 1977. As a
sculptor, Robert has created works for Goebel, Germany GmBH, Harmony Kingdom,
and currently the Walt Disney Company, Disneyland, Anaheim, Disney World,
Orlando and Enesco, LLC for international distribution
The Olszewski display is
permanent, and to make it even more special and supportive of our wonderful
heritage, the Olszewski brothers will make a monetary donation to this museum
for all purchases of Robert's art from his website
www.olszewskistudios-retail.com.
When you order, please use the promotional code Harbrack.
Questions or communications
with the Olszewski brothers can be made by contacting info@olszewskistudios.com.
